Jetty Fishing
When you fish off of the jetties, do you cast your lines far out or do you cast it in close to the rocks? Ive fished off of jetties a few times and all the time i just cast out as far as i can with limited success. what do you do to catch nice snapper off of jetties?Where is the best place on a jetty to fish for them? do you go to the end, the middle?beach side or inlet side? thanks.

I agree you have to find those spots, but if I don't know a specific jetty I always fish closer in and fish beach sides out far some.
On most jetties mangrove snapper are striaght down or not to far out.

linesider wat u mean by "lip" is the edge where the ground starts to drop off into the shipping channel right?
if i put out a chum bag, would that help to bring them in closer.usually how long do chum bags last?
wat about tides?wat do you think is the best tide to fish for them?
thanks for all the advice.
