Nice mutton. I am glad to see that that spot is open again.
Dreaming the dream that one day I can be as good as some of the boatless pros and catch some 12 inch mangrove snapper.

SOOOO, Judging by the picture I have to go to that spot and fish the bottom with a custom 9 foot and conventional reel.

I can't resist! I'm heading down there now to throw some jigs/spoons in the water.

Anyone wanna join?? I'll be carrying a spiderwire backpack if you spot me. I'll turn around and throw some devil horns at the cam for you all.

8) I had it to myself yesterday morning. It wasn't so bad away from the end. Those waves are from the east. Only thing that really sucks is that the current has been running north, so the port water comes out then moves inshore on the southside during incoming.

Haven't spent any time really at the jetties in John Lloyd park, but I went kayaking off the beach last weekend and on my way out stopped by to see what was going on. Not sure if it was just lack of experience, but no one seemed to be having much luck when I got out there. Looked like the bait of choice was frozen squid and some shrimpies. Maybe it was just too hot out (around 1 or 2pm). Hope things pick up around there.

Tight lines!
-Andrew
