Looks like a tough weekend weather-wise. May try a morning expedition if it's not raining.

Tight line.

Mullet has trickled the last 2 days more going through at night.

The bulk should be any day over the next week or two

Lot's of small pods moving through. Not real productive though. Saw one yesterday with some big poon's tailing on it. Pretty cool in 6' surf.

Mullet all over Ft Lauderdale beach this morning. Jacks were chasing the pilchards up onto the sand. Lost count how many Jacks, Bluefish and lady fish were caught. One guy caught mackerel and a small snook. Large predators were busting them past the sand bar.

South Miami Dade County around Homestead Bay Front Park and Surrounding Areas

Tons of Finger Mullet and Big Ol' Grown Ones Roaming around in Pretty big Numbers. Starting to see them more coming around. They were real close to Shore as seen in the Pictures and even Bigger schools were a bit further out getting Busted by something every few minutes, they would come in close and head out again. Could easily have cast netted a bunch, so if anyone is looking for em' there ya go.

Enjoy

Today at John U. Lloyd in Dania there were at least 4 pods, 1 big pod getting nailed by fish that I couldn't ID, and the other 3 were smaller, they were moving south toward the Dania Pier (to presumably break into people's cars) between 1-2pm today.. good stuff, looks like it is picking up!

Mullet passing last night north end of Fort lauderd, ale and a few pods today current is going North a lot of the time each day so they are a little confused, they go south and then go North.

Right Now
There is a pod about two football field in size at the south end of Pompano moving into Lauderdale by the sea

I was trying to fish them. They moved from Commercial to the north end of the strip within 1 hour or less. As night fell the tarpon started blasting them.

One medium sized (about the size of a basketball court) pod around 8 this morning just south of Jupiter Inlet, casted a spoon around it for about 20 minutes and nothing.

Hit Boca Beach this morning...

There were 10" mullet along the shore in the trough all morning...

A school of bluefish came thru about 7am heading South.... due to the wind we had to wade out to chest-deep water in the breakers and cast from there, but if you dropped it in the "dark cloud" of fish it was instant hookup with an 18-20" bluefish!

Another "cloud" of blues came thru... again had to wade out to get the cast to them with the high winds.... instant hookups.

We chased both schools down the beach several lifeguard towers... I ended up with a limit of blues, and my wife caught 4 also.

Wild and crazy "aerobic" surf fishing! It's wild to wade out there, then hookup and fight the fish as you're fighting the surf and undertow back to the sand! :-)

Was out of homestead bayfront park catching pinfish and runners for my keys trip today from 3 to 5:30pm and mullet were everywhere. Fingers roaming all around as well in numbers of about 15 to 40 a pod. They were very accessible close up for anyone wanting a batch. They roamed inshore all around the bay and at times were getting busted by somethihg.
