the bay was full of fingers (as always lately) s0 i net like 20 and roll to anglins...conditions were not great as was mentioned above but i did manage a 19" flounder :chef:

Went to the the bay after and had no luck...saw one school of larger mullet stroll by but that was about it for bait...no macks this time, or anything for that matter...just a slow day overall..will be out wednesday morning again

This may be a bit off topic but I'm pretty sure the string cheese in the photo is recalled

It seems as though it never started infull swing yet..so I say no...we never had a real cold front yet either...and this mild one spooked all the fish it seems...at least in south palm where I fish

 I was wondering the same. There wasn't even 2 weeks worth of bait moving through South Beach this year. Sadly, I was on a trip on north for all but 3 of those days.   I've been scouting miami beach daily and haven't seen any big pods in well over a week. I'm hearing from a buddy that the ICW is slap full in south Palm BEach county, but the bait isn't moving down the beach there either. I'm getting depressed just thinking I waited all year for this... 3 days worth of good fishing?!?!?

Sure hope so. Didn't see or hear of anything on Miami Beach again today. Brought my own bait and landed 2 about slot size snook that were released. Super weedy today.

Tomorrow is looking fairly good for fly fishing the shore of the Boynton Inlet. .5-1' wave height, 10 mph winds from the SW, and hopefully there will be bait being smashed by whatever is there.

Fishing is not a matter of life or death, It's much more important than that.

Mullet run is over folks, I have finally come to grips with it, no longer in denial. I have been seeing reports of big mullet pods miles offshore of Miami. I guess the bait went offshore and headed south rather than cruising down the beach? Not sure what happened this year...

It's that time of year again. Welcome to winter guys.
Yup. I forgot to mention that the last few times out there were tons of Pompano attacking the ripples my line was making where it entered the water. They were smaller 6-8" but tons of em on mid beach and south beach. At first i thought they were jacks but then I got some good looks at em. I have no interest in those fish but I know a lot do. Catch em up.

At 9:00 I headed to lake worth pier and there was a big pod of mullet getting worked. We walked north of Boynton inlet for at least 3 miles until we saw the pod. Fished it all the way to the inlet. Theres tons of tarpon on them unfortunately we lost all of our bites. Its definitely pretty rough out there for surf fishing especially on the low tide. Got my ass kicked by the waves.

Once we got to the inlet a guy had told me there were 3 more big pods of mullet that he saw at lake worth pier.

Heading south?
Yes, they are probably in Delray right now. We fished the pod for 3 hours and it only moved 3 miles.
