Yes, the Stella are much smoother reel but Accurate are all BALLS. :D Let's not forget to buy spare parts for the Stella cost an arm and leg.

I do admit it is a lot nicer reel but I love my Accurate. I never had any problems with my Accurate. However, my Stella 8000 spool was smoking hot when I hooked up to Permit. The drag couldn't disapate the heat quick enough. Lost the Permit anyways from the piling. :mrgreen:

Shimano service is top notch. They service stellas for $30 flat.

Shimano does it forever. They still service the old Stella HDs...they stopped making them in 1999.
