Didn't know there was a pier at Mexico bch. I generally shark fish at cape san Blas , or Georges Island . Lots of sharks there . What do you catch from the pier ? Larrysalvadorsanchez wrote:I'm from south GA, i fish off the pier for sharks at Mexico Beach, FL some

When you pass Toucans heading into Mexico Beach, a bit further, there is a Chevron on the left. The road right there at the Chevron on the left is the public pier. I catch bluefish, blacktips, trout, macks, flounder and reds there, all depending on the time of year. Will be down there Dec 5th and 6th. Well in 4 days

if you pass the canal, you've gone a few blocks too far

My brother-in-law has a place at Carrabelle . Plan on going there next spring . He's into shark fishing too. More of a fanatic fisherman than me , if thats possible .

We used to grouper fish out of Carrabelle. Love the "Georgian Motel"

sharkin on Atlantic side of Ga here. Im not one to go for the big boys like hammers etc. i like my black tips and dusky's etc....
agreed with above....if you want to guarantee a good time sharking go to Cape San Blas. never been to such a scary place. lol.
i was having a hard time letting my son (5 at the time) get in the surf at all.
