Other than squid will you have threadies or ballyhoo for frozen bait onboard ?
Dreaming the dream that one day I can be as good as some of the boatless pros and catch some 12 inch mangrove snapper.

Ballyhoo. They are on the bigger side.

Been plenty of bonitos around for strip baits.

Jigs have been king.

I have been passing out 10 oz gold hammered diamond jigs. At times they have been deadly. Remind me Thursday.

Drifts were smoking on top of the bank the past couple of nights. 1.5 knots plus. Guys were using 16 oz of lead. Soon as we moved into 60 fathoms the drift was .3 knots. I have no idea why.

That being said guys were wiped fro the heat so most slept all night.

On my way to hunt baits...today
Deerfield : decent school of looking-like gogs but too far out and up current. Can not reach. May come back afternoon.
Pompano pier: only pilchard and water is brown.

Heading north...

Pm me know if you saw any school.

I'm past the days of stressing over bait...gonna pick up a couple dozen fresh 'hoos on the way down, and then I'm sure I'll have no problem catching a couple bonita out there. It only took me about 20 trips where I dumped out $100 worth of bait at the end, to get to this point.

I'm flying in on a tight schedule so somebody is going to donate primo bait for me one way or the other. But not from Blue with his bad commie karma.

One pound of roast beef is nothing more than tribute.

3 pounds keeps Miguel out of the coolers.

Brizo? Not so much.

Yeah we're back. Chris is passed out and I'm about to. Can't sleep on that boat. Herb'll post a report. Tough bite.
