Was there for a couple hours this evening. First time I fished this spot since I was a kid with my dad. Not productive for me, only caught one tiny reef fish from 6pm to 8:30pm. Did see someone bring in a nice size pomp right as the sun was setting behind the condos. There was almost no other action that I saw before packing it all up.

High tide was at 4pm today.. the pomps were on fire.. we caught about 20 (no joke) in an hr and only kept the big ones throw half of them back.. then words got spread and now 20 lines were out at one time, so we left early around 5:30.. tomorrow high tide is 5pm any of you interested should give it a shot..

Fished this afternoon from 2pm to 4pm. Pretty decent winds from the east at 10-15mph made for some nice cloudy green water. The tide was outgoing the whole time. Seaweed was pretty thick and a big nuisance. Me and some other guy were basically the only ones fishing there.
There was a school of small pichards hanging near the tip. I managed to get about 2 dozen of them with a cast net. I fished near the rocks and got plenty of hits, but I wasn't able to stick a hook in anything. Very frustrating.
I switched to fishing further out near the channel and hooked a decent sized jack. It put up a nice fight and made a couple good runs. Kept me from getting skunked. Had a few close calls near the rocks. Kudos to the guy who went down and grabbed it for me :toast: I thought about releasing it but i didn't want the man's effort to go to waste so ended up giving it away :puker:

It happens sometimes to me too but the same it always goes upright when you enlarge it. I think it has something to do with image size even tough it allows you to upload it
And nice catch it's a biggen, the crevalles are all over right now couldn't go out without seeing or hooking into one in the Miami area.

Not really, but there's fish to be had...problem is that most of us, "including me" steer clear of that place because of the googans. And I've been fishing there for over 25 yrs. I refuse to fish around those bums..even the some of the regulars are a-holes!

Don't get me wrong, there are some cool guys there...I have a couple of my older friends of my dad, that when they see me, they always offer me fleas if I don't have any, but I never go fish pomps if I don't have my own fleas..but they even scoot me into one of their spots when the pomps are in full force..but I do just as well from the beach. Only thing is the pomps aren't as big.

Idk if any have been caught, but nows the time to be out there to catch em..night time is best. With the late incoming/early outgoing being the best times for bites

I meant "now" as in time of season. Obviously, when theres no one will be best..you will need a 6-8' gaff..bridge nets wont do u much good there.good luck..might get into some grovers while ur at it
