Catching sardines

Post by Jules89 »

Since taking up fishing as a hobby, I have only caught sardines once at Haulover park near the bait shop. Me and a couple friends chummed the water with cut up finger mullet and caught about a bucket full of sardines. The cost of buying finger mullet to chum the waters to catch sardines every time we go fishing[ 2 to 3 times a week] can slowly but surely take a toll on your wallet.

Is there an alternative I can use to attract bait fish to catch on a sabiki?

Avoid rough bottoms but lots o guys cast net from shore for more than just sardines. Check out the mullet run.
