Will there is a sping run of Pompano?

Post by hugehail »

This has been a warm winter. Does that mean that the spring run will not be as good this year for the Palm Beaches
southward? Ive looked at quite a few years of fishing reports from the Palm Beach post. They had daily reports back in the 50s and 60s.
And as long as the wind persisted out of the southeast in the spring the pompano fishing was good, regardless
if the winter had been warm. I will be down there fishing the surf from March 19 to April 14th and I hope the fishing is decent.

Yes it will be good. The fish still migrate regardless but warning waters in winter means they stay offshore or move at time. They still migrate regardless of water temps. Generally bad winter runs are followed by great spring runs.
Dreaming the dream that one day I can be as good as some of the boatless pros and catch some 12 inch mangrove snapper.
