Re: Port Charlotte/Punta Gorda FISHING REPORTS
Went fishing today at the 41 bridges. I caught a few spotted trout, one that was just under a keeper. Also caught 1 Red, also just under a keeper. Then my father in law decided to break tradition, and catch something other than a catfish. Check it out in it's 26" glory.

That is a good eating size red. Looks like a real nice dock/pier you are on too. The synthetic wood is allot easier to walk on.

It's really not much of a pier, but I agree about those boards. They are easier on the feet.

I went out 4/25 just before lunch in Punta Gorda. Freelined a 3" new penny Gulp shrimp on a 1/0 hook, slowly dragging/bouncing the bottom. Second cast...

You have those redfish dialed in.
Dreaming the dream that one day I can be as good as some of the boatless pros and catch some 12 inch mangrove snapper.

Re: Port Charlotte/Punta Gorda FISHING REPORTS
Was in Port Charlotte today visiting my fiancé's family and hit the bay for a few hours. The water was a nasty brown. no hits and didn't see any baitfish or anything else. Is the bays on the west coast usually that color??? It sure looked like really dirty water.
Plz put back the small ones.

There has been a lot of West wind so that would stir that bay water up

Nice red!
Looks like the first one was spotless too, which is a little more rare. Good stuff!
