Is anyone else feeling like we have some unfinished business left at Flamingo?

There were not many things in my box of tricks that did not get tried, but I feel like I just gotta get back and try it again....anyone else wanna go if the weather works?

K I wana make this trip for sure. can someone key me in on some details.

Yup - Meet'cha under the overpass on Atlantic if the Wheather is looking good. I want another crack at that place with just a tad clearer water. Now that I have seen it once I think I can cone up with a few plans of attack that may work.....Though the day we were out -I do not think anything would have helped.....lol

Unless you would rather meet at the launch site?

Lou - Have you ever been to flamingo at ENP?

But the short version is .....Flamingo at daybreak. Plan for some skeeters, but nothing OFF cannot handle this time of year - shallow grass flats, a few deeper channells, some mangrove islands. Water 3-24 inches for the most part.

Sorry to hear that Cm, I was hoping you'd do the prep on the trout and red that I'll be grilling at the campground Saturday afternoon If this expected front isn't to bad, I might just pitch a tent and stay the nite

Hey guys hate to barge in but do you go inside or outside? IMHO ya'll should give Lake Suprise a try as well it's off US 1 before Key Largo, parkside actually it's the far eastern end. one cent down. My bag of tricks at times contained brined mullet strips 3/4" by 3" behind a poping cork.The brined mullet works because it's tougher.If the little guys keep getting in the way step up the strip size. two cents. oh FS has a brine recipe.

Doesn't sound pleasing & besides 8 Time World Champ Kelly Slater will be at Sebastian this weekend, figure I go hit the surf instead.

Keep an eyeball on the weather Bruce. they are talking ione thunderstorm in front of and one behind the front.
I'm pretty bummed about having to cancel.....But I will definately make it the following week or the one after at the latest.....

In all the years passing this onthe road to Largo - I have never stopped to try it. Has anyone yak fished this place? I would be willing to give this a try !

My bad I did not make myself clear,Yes I have fished there.No it was not in a yak. It does not get a lot of pressure, it is worth a try. TIGHT LINES!!!

I was actually asking about the yak experience because I am curious about launching ( which can be done anywhere) but more importantly - Parking.

Yes, there is parking. Last years storms took there toll on signage. Used to be two signs, one read ENP,the other read Lake Suprise. There is a ramp. TIGHT LINES!!!

As posted on another forum, my old girlfriend wants me out of the house and the young one wants to meet me somewhere

I figure with the front moving in, I'll get a couple of good hours fishing, either put up the tent or head back to a dive motel in Fla. City. Hopefully within walking distance to one of the almost famous dump bars where the girls get better looking the more I drink Some of them even have teeth Might hit card sound for the morning and then head home.

Look for the white wrangler with the orange hobie parked in a bar parking lot if it's afternoon

With the Weather lookin as it does, and my Honey - Do lookin like it does, I am gonna drop inat Loxahatchee and geta little pre tourney Bassin in -these youngin runnin this thing look tough to beat - lol

I have only been down once - We stayed on the inside ( East of Snake Bight behind Kemp Cay for the most part) Launched from the Primitive camp site I am told..PAddled past the boat launch canal and towards Snake Bight....

It Blew to the point that there was only one shot at casting to a shadow ( If you could find one in that soup) or Mangrove break up on the Cay.

Making the Pass out to the Bight was doable, but the whitecaps out in there kinda disuaded us from really makin a go of it - Totally blind fishing as the water was sand soup....

Tucked back behind the JK Cay was a small patch of clear water - I hooked 2 quick jacks, Rijkaard a small cuda and Variable a ladyfish, then we got blown over the sandy water again.....

I will definately be back though - I think the potential there is AWESOME and cannot wait to have another go at it!

I'll try this again I replied but it ain't here. ......By inside I am refering to the two interior bays. Some may refer to it as the fresh side. Tarpon,snook,jacks and largemouths make there homes there. The bass are really inside. You can take the Hell's bay canoe trail from the park road to get there it's a hump but it is quicker then the canal. IMHO wait till it gets cooler so the skeeters won't fly off with you! TIGHT LINES!!!

OK - Now I thnk I understand - Looked at a map. Remember only been there once, but it really looks like an are worth returning to many times !
