Florida Fishing Petition (please sign)

Post by thisolesinker »

Good Day All,

My name is Carlos Berdeal and I've been an avid fisherman here in south florida pretty much since i was born. that makes 35 years. In the past years i have slowly seen the changes taking place along our shores. Less and Less Fishing spots. This past weekend i got fed up when a couple of buddies and I were removed from the beach by the police. We were asked to leave and told no fishing allowed at night on the beach. If we didnt leave we faced arrest. So we left. We left with bait and cooler in hand and nowhere else to go. So this past week i've been working diligently to get a petition going. I've finally got it up and running and i need all the help i can get from all the guys here in boatlessfishing.com. This is just the begining of something that will be great. So i ask of all of you to take 2 minutes of your time to come over and sign the petition. just click on the link to sign it. You can even sign anonymously if you so desire. I'd like to thank baitwetter for his support and i would like to thank all who support in advance. any questions or comment are appreciated and taken into consideration.
Help us get our shorline back!

I could not agree more. Shorebound fishing is the 'greenest' way to enjoy the sport, yet instead of being encouraged it is being shut down all over the state.

Carlos,

I signed the petition because I feel all beaches should be open 24hrs.
However, I would like to know where the petition is going to be sent.

If it goes to the state it will have little or no effect on my fishing. I live in Melbourne and fish mostly Brevard County beaches. Most of my access is through county parks which are only open from Dawn to Dusk,.

Please let me know.

Thanks,

Bill

Hi Bill,

I think we are starting with South Florida first then who knows? Maybe we can get this thing rolling around the state!

Thanks everyone for helping. Encourage your buddies to sign it too!
