Hey guys, I will be visiting Miami in late March for a week. I would love to check off a few freshwater fishes off my bucket list. My targets are the green severum, blacktail cichlid, and zebra tilapia (hornet tilapia). I would appreciate if you can share locations where you have caught or seen these species before and what baits to use to catch these species.
If you are not comfortable posting in a public forum, pm is always welcome.
Thanks for your help guys!
Best regard,
Dave
Please help me check off these species...

Thanks Miguel. Have you seen these species I mentioned in the canals?

Jewelfish < everything else... Protip, you want big peas with no work, pitch jewelfish at em! I need to find me a reliable jewelfish spot... I used to catch them with a tiny little gold hook, with 12-15 I was set for the day, and EVERY single bait was a fish guaranteed! If the fish are there, they will not be turned down! As far as exotics go, I see them around Homestead quite often, close to the Homestead Speedway.

Hey Miguel, any particular spots in Hialeah that hold large population of the species I mentioned? I'm not that familiar with Hialeah and don't want to spend my time fishing in unproductive areas. Thanks.
