bass fishing boynton beach
Hi I am new to Florida. Been living in boynton beach off of gateway for almost a year. I have done lots of bass fishing in new York and Pennsylvania. Really need some tips on good spots to catch nice bass. I do catch and release. Also. Caught a few small ones on Texas rig and mepps spinners. Need advice. On what else works good her in boynton. Thanks.

put away the mepps spinners, there great for rainbow trout up north. Artificials like large rubber worms or jerk baits like flukes fished slow and on the bottom work real well for largemouth. Also frogs work real well. Peacocks are a different story, they dont like baits fished on the bottom. Rapalas or artificials that swim are good for peacocks. When artificials are not working it is time to break out the live bait, live shiners, the bigger the better. Most of the big bass will come on large live shiners. The farther west you go towards the everglades the better, especially along highway 27.
