The crime is tresspassing. Property owners can say what they want. Below the high tide mark is public, add long add you don't need to walk across private property to get to it. Or want to have that fight. I ignore the signs. You'll get a trespassing warning at most of someone reports you. And if it's in your own neighborhood fight it.

i noticed a similar thing ( new no fishing sign) there is a small dock and boat launch in front of ( outside the property) a condo complex south of a bunch of industreal/warehouse between griffin and 84. i used to fish and catch bait there and the last time i went there was a no fishing sign on the dock . i wondered how they could make a public dock no fishing . it made me sad
