Good point John with the videos, however I only see scavenging there, not predation. Predation would be the snapper Naturally going after the lionfish alone. I have not heard anyone say it, but would be awesome if it took place. I believe given enough time it will happen. That been said though, I would think it to be a good idea to go on kill dives and feed them to the local wildlife, even if you precondition them to expect you, it is like planting a seed, associating the lionfish with prey!

X2 Juan. It's a plague. Lionfish multiply and mature very quickly so without any natural enemies they can quickly eat reefs into dead zones. What caught my attention in the first video was how many lions were in such a small area. And buried and camouflaged to boot. If there was a preditory solution states would be employing it now. There isn't. And their favorite food besides crustations are baby snapper and grouper!!!!
Anyone know where the very first lionfish in the entire state of Flori-duh was caught? Here's one hint.......1985. There's another........it's probably the most fertile fish sanctuary in the state. I bet Miguel knows.

Those old queen slave owners that wrote our Constitution 200 years ago were brilliant.
