Colt here, wondering how is the fishing on Merritt Island and best locations from shore.

used to be great fishing for reds and trout, but the key word is used to be. They just had a massive fish kill, i mean massive, in the merritt island, sykes creek area. plus they have had several other fish kills in the last few years. I am not sure how the fishing is now, but a big percentage of the fish now are gone.

Thanks for the update, now that you mention it I do remember hearing about that issue on the news a few weeks ago.
