Are you looking for inshore type fishing (speckled trout, redfish, flounder) or
coastal paleagics (jacks, mackerel & bluefish) ?

Inshore is available closer TO Mobile, the others are about an hour drive to Orange Beach.

I'll help if I can... 8)

There are several public access spots strewn across the Hwy 90/98 Causeway (Battleship Parkway) as you head eastward (away from Mobile).
The first is just over the Tensaw River bridge, just past the Battleship USS Alabama.
They have been catching croakers, flounder and occasionally redfish from the seawall there.

The next would be about a mile farther east in the vicinity of where I-10 crosses over the Causeway.
Fish from the seawall on the south (right) side with live or dead shimp for redfish, croakers and sheepshead.

Maeher park is about 2 miles farther east.
It has a pier you can fish from to catch bass, croaker and maybe redfish.
We catch speckled trout there in the fall, but the salinity is too low right now in the shallow waters.

Hope this helps!

I ended up going to a litte dock at the dog's river inlet both days. My uncle cast netted some perfect baby mullets with some pinfish and poagies in the mix. I ended up catching 4 little croakers and a big ass blue crab. It was a good change though fishing outside of south florida. Everybody was very laid back and chilled; makes me miss living in the "real south."

That's a good spot (sometimes).
This time last year there was a phenomenal run of white trout (sand seatrout)
Sorry to hear it wasn't while you were here :(
It's ALWAYS scenic though
