Bama reds

Post by Pier#r »

I caught these on a 4" green Fin-S with 1/4 ounce jighead on 6# spinning the last week of September 2006 at Dauphin Island Pier near Mobile, AL.

23" redfish

22" redfish on the next cast

20" redfish a few minutes later

It was pretty easy considering the size of the school of reds (60-70 in this picture) 8)

Fall pierfishing is phenomenal in years when we don't have much tropical activity. That allows the water to be calm and clear.
WOOO HOOO the Gulf State Park pier is OPEN!

My buddy 'Rusty Hook' sight cast to this (25" 4.85#) redfish October 4th from Pelican Spit off Dauphin Island, AL
He caught it on a 4" Fin-s w/ 1/4oz jighead using 6# mono on his SSG Penn spin combo.

Earlier that am, another buddy 'Gumbo' caught this (24" 3.75#) Speckled Trout on a topwater while we were wadefishing in Pelican Bay from Pelican Spit off Dauphin Island, AL.

Nice catch on the Red and Trout. :D
The Judge asked the prostitute, "At what point did you realize you were raped?"
The prostitute replied (wiping away tears), "When the check bounced."
