Really nice peacock.
Dreaming the dream that one day I can be as good as some of the boatless pros and catch some 12 inch mangrove snapper.

Starting her early, thats good! Nice fish too!!!
There is a fine line between Love & Hate.Hate is pushing them off a ledge. Loving them means you don't taunt them after you've pushed them off.

Wow, that is a nice fish. I have no problem catching LMB but no peas to date. What's the best time of day or lures in your experience? Thanks!

Re: Daughter hooks a nice Peacock bass!
We usually catch them early afternoon...when it is nice and sunny out. Almost all have been caught using Berkeley 1 1/2 inch swimbaits (firetiger color)....but live shiners work well, too!Slammer wrote:Wow, that is a nice fish. Erradic jerk baits work well, like Rapala X-rap, HuskyJerk, or Yuzuri Pins Minnow.
Pins minnow is great but the hooks will be broken or straightened much quicker than the Rapala.
