You landed that Lunker, it's the biggest one you've ever caught and you're proud of it.
This is where you can share with the rest of us.
Please let us know the tackle you used, and the artificial. Please post pictures with you, fish, and tackle if possible, of your fish caught after November 1, 2006.
Nah its a Big Eye Tuna, it washed up on the beach last July when i was snook fishing so i ran down and grabbed it lol, I carried it down to the end of the pier and some googans asked how i caught it. I said go to the ne corner and use squid on a trolly rig lol
I see the difference now, the pec fin is much larger. I was told by 2 people at the pier that it was a big eye so i never really did any research. Thanks

From what I understand you can get some pretty hefty tuna down off key west.

Best bet for Yellowfin under the 130lb range is out in the Bahamas area. They do not get as big as the ones in Mexico or Panama. Out in Marathon they most get Blackfin and sometimes a Yellowfin.
The Judge asked the prostitute, "At what point did you realize you were raped?"
The prostitute replied (wiping away tears), "When the check bounced."
Plenty of blackfins right now off of Dade and Broward . They are one of my favorites to catch . Got 5 once on a trip in the Tugas. The first one ate my bottom bait in 220 ft. , it must a have followed the gog to the bottom. It hit on a locked drag with 50 lb mono. It dragged me from the bow to the stern of the FFF at a full sprint. I swore I had a huge black grouper on. It beat me up pretty good and went 39 lbs bled. They tend to bite well at night or sunrise/sunset. Hit your local headboats up and use fluro or light mono leader to have a better chance at these sharp eyed predators.
Dreaming the dream that one day I can be as good as some of the boatless pros and catch some 12 inch mangrove snapper.
