Thanks bro, Finally figured out why they were not hitting those days I went, water was low and too clear. I figured at first it has to be that. Yesterday that water was brown with absolutely no visability, lots of sediment moving, and the cats were definately feeding. Next time I have to get a 3-4 oz sinker so I can throw out to the fast current and get some fast water blue and chanel cats with some live minows from the local stream here.

try fishing deeper holes for blues and channels they will still be active even through cold weather spells. flat heads tend to lay very tight in cold water often laying in rows -------- one in front of the other to break any current i guess the fella in front is screwed! colder water is usually better for blues but if the water gets up the bottom is stirred up including your fish!!they also only feed less than half as much in the winter than summer because of the lack of movement!

So, Finally figured out some of the tricks for catching catfish in any conditions. I'll be posting Logs on lures, conditions, and tips on catching fish in NC grouped by Month, so you'll be able to see what was caught and how it was caught through out the months of the year.
