went there today... 9:30 am - 6:30pm. manage to get a needle fish and a blue runner =/

some guy on the T was caught 2 good size snappers and the guy next to me pulled out a spanish mackerel

dont really know, i was to busy trying to fish something. i was a bit off the T, all i saw was that he had like 5 rods on the South , South East side of the T. and him taking out the fish from the water. cant really help you there.

Went out there on Monday, May 2nd. From 7:30 - 10am. Strong wind out of the east. Pulled up 3 blue runners, 1 Jack, and 2 "look downs". Nothing of great size but they were all caught on a light rod with 8# test which made it a good fight. My buddy had something that he fought for about two minutes until the 80# swivel clip broke. That would have been fun to land.

On another note, what exactly is the decorum for "personal space." My friend and I got there around 7:30 and there we a few people on the pier. We wanted to go to the SE corner of the T but it was occupied as were 2 other corners. So we took the least desirable spot (NW corner), casting into the wind and against the current. We took up about 7 feet with our 6 rods. Within 30 minutes, I had one guy literally cast out and put his rod next to the one that I was baiting, giving me no option to cast without strong risk of getting tangled with him. And another guy kept jumping in between us as well. Another person even made a comment to us about the inconsiderate guys.
I am not a confrontational person, but these inconsiderate guys really pissed me off. I hesitated to say anything because I didn't know for sure what the decorum was for personal space. Any comments are welcome as to how this situation should have been treated.

if your not a local your going to get pushed off the T its just the way it is

hell i know when i go to the pier if someone is in my corner it dosent stop me from tossing my 2 bottom rods

It was a Hispanic guy, late 50's, heavy set. I am new to the piers but a south Florida native, 28 years. And if the spot on the pier is "dog eat dog," I will be happy to play that game.

Thanks for the input. Dropping a biki rig is one thing, you are not going to interfere with someone who has there line way off the pier. I always try to be considerate of others lines and not crowd them. It just kills me when I have 3 lines out within a 3 foot space and some idiot does not see a problem casting between the two and sitting their pole in the middle of my rigs.

The possibility of inciting a situation is one reason I don't even attempt to fish the T at any pier. My policy is to walk away from trouble, not create it. But, if someone is rude to my son or daughter, there will be trouble and they'll be talking to the cops!

fishing at the T at Dania pier is pain in the ASS.That is why I just go to the T to catch bait.I just hate the people who fish there and can't stand dealing with all of that BS any time I fish there. I know they pay the same amount just like me but they have no common sense or consideration for anyone.Best thing is to fish at the middle or just fish at the front.But cutting people's line is not a good idea at all.

seriously i know a few people that feel the same way about you so whats the point of even fishing there

They're not children, they're teenagers. And, in my short time fishing piers, I've seen quite a few "children" fishing the T's. Anyhow, I meant other parts of the pier. As mentioned, I don't even attempt to fish the T.

no one on this forum except for MAYBE zebco can tell you where to fish on the pier.

If anyone sais something slick or messing with me on the pier,they would get jumped. Its rare that i drive all the way to dania by myself.i alwayz bring all the goons from hialeah lol.

I remember one time these two black guys were all packed up and leaving from the T, and some old white american guy with white hair (i think hes a regular cuz i alwayz happen to see him when i go out there) yelled out "WHITE POWER".

lucky that white guy kept his mouth shut when the black guys turned around cuz if it was me i woulda whoooppeedd hiss azzzzzzzzzzzzzz...
