Yeah Carlos, I'm Jason not Noah. But I told you you should have come to fish the surf but noooooo you had to go catch macks that weren't even there. Just playin man but it was a nice mack. More like 3 pounds though.

Fished Dania today from 2 to 9:30ish. Snook and Tarpon were busting glass minnows very aggressively after 6ish. They wanted nothing to do with live pilchards, gold dots, Threadfins, Dines, or even live mullet that were being freelined

The jacks came through and I got one that was around 2 pounds. Nothing major. But there were free swimming Bull Sharks and one Blacktip around. They looked like they were on a mission though. The Moonfish were also around destroying to glass minnows and hitting sabikis. One guy hooked a Tarpon around 30 pounds on a bass rod with 30 pound braid

He lost that fish due to people that were to lazy to get out of the way

After dark, the Blues came in and Noah got smoked on his Saltist and the Snook and Tarpon shut off. There were pilchards and Dines that were PERFECT size for Snapper. I heard they were hitting under the Tee. Also, the Macks joined the Snook and Tarpon busting the glass minnows and left plenty of people with cut offs. Pretty slow day. The action was just in watching the Snook blow up the bait

Oh, yeah, Noah got a huge Moonfish fishing for bait also. Probably around a pound and a half

I am on the FS forum more, name Released. Just joined boatless forum. I dont fish the piers much but really relax just to get out when I get a chance to fish the piers. I'll be there more once the poons start moving North and those glass minnows dissapear. That is the only thing they will eat now.

me and my friend conner went out today. he lost 2 snook and i lost one on his rod. there was a school of micro dines at the reef line and the ceros were terin em up. got swiped about a 6-7 times on a sardine colored x rap but no hookups.

they were focusing on glass minnows but all of ours ate pilchards. im sure that if we would have put a dine down they would have eatin but we got one dine all day and we had already stopped snook fishin and moved down to the t

i saw that same fish leave with a guy that i know and he told me he caught it.
i think somebody is telling a story.

That guy is named Ryan. I hooked it on a Pilchard and I lost it and before i could grab another Pilchard, he took a cast with a shrimp and he hooked it and had it on for like 5 seconds and it spit it. Thats when I got my second shot and got a solid hook up on it. On the way down to the Tee, he kept telling everybody I had his fish

I left immediately after I landed it because I had to get home and right when I hooked it he asked me if I would give it to him for shark bait and I said yes so he had it laying by all his gear right when the crowd of people showed up to Snook fish and someone may have misunderstood him and they may have thought he ment he caught it. Not just hooked it. Bottom line, I hooked it, fought it, and landed it. I caught it.

Don't fool yourself. If there are piles of glass minnows there, and the Snook are there eating them,.. what does that tell you.

that tells me that when the glass minnows leave, the snook that stay will start to eat pilchards, like they do probably every summer. I have a hard time freelineing glass minnows at all, let alone in wind. I would rather fish with pilchards.

Hello, new member here. I'll try my shot at my first report from the perspective of a newb. Went to Dania from 7am-12:30pm on monday, and left before it started to rain. (Was there with g/f [who's been my ride lately - car in shop] so I had to leave early

) I saw snook (Let's say about 20 in the surf, alongside some thick bait - not sure what they were exactly) and I think a really big Cobia (

) by the T. Spent most of my time at the T, trying to catch my first mack or mutton snapper but no success (damnit) Caught the usual for me, chubs, trigger, runners, those sick ass doctor fish (I think) that sliced me up once, and getting cut off (I think I need heavier line). Will try to go back next week again and see if I can actually take something home. Had fun though!

- Was wondering.. I have never been to Anglins, should I try it? How much different is it from Dania?? (Besides the price) Might try to go there. Thanks!

The further north you go the better each pier gets.
