So not true bolo i was there and i only seen one pilchard and i almost got him. But seriously the inlet is stacked with med size pilchards and dines. I filled a 90qt cooler with 4 throws. I also seen a forum member that had a boatless t shirt but i could'nt put the face to the name. i was'nt fishing but my friend fished a couple of baits with no fish to show for. I love the boating community, there was only two boats out in the inlet and this guy yells at the other to get the hell out of his way so he can catch bait. He told the people if they get the hell out he will give them bait. very entertaining to say the least.
We filled a 5 gallon bucket. Our net didn't fast enough so some of them escape. :nopity:

Been tearin it up... From mono leaders, to sneakers, to T-shirts. A.M. bite as been lame. Fished every morning last week during sunrise and some how I managed 1 keeper grover. The snook went crazy 1 morning on the surface, long story short the leader wasnt up for the challange that day. the snook pile up in the inlet at slack tide but even a baby gog, with 20lb seagar flouro and 1/0 circle hooks dont fool them... Even the boo runna bite has slowed down, "my friends", hardley catch any these days. I even tried fishing a few afternoons and zero success.
Has anyone tried fishing the late evening at the inlet? Does anyone have any previous inlet success stories to speak of... I would be happy to hear if people are catching any fish, I could care less how, or when.

Morning bite is better :thumleft: I wouldn't go at night just because the waves are brutal, better if you go to deerfield pier at night it's just a half mile away .

That makes sense then. Always fishing during the day. Hope things pick up for you. Having two jobs bites the big one.
