Gogs are there in the morning. That in Deerfield time is around 3:00am or so and they have not been bugging because of them being only 4-6 inches. You can catch a ton of them until the sun comes up. Their straight under the hut in the light.
The big ones show up in the middle of November usually in good numbers.

I need as much fresh Gogs as I can get for a Yuri trip. Willing to donate $1.50 each that are kept fresh and caught Nov 23rd and 24th.
PM me if intrested. I live in Orlando now. Driving to deerfield to bug gogs isn't as cost effective as before.

Re: Deerfield Pier Fishing Reports 2010 "ONLY REPORTS"
DFP has been producing some quality fish including macks through-out the day with many in the 4-6lb range. Key is getting a bait, since the basically isn't any.
Today, three Dolphin were caught including this mogan caught by Jake. I think it's the 5-6th one caught within the month with many other hooked and lost.

Nice to see a picture to confirm the reports I heard. That is a once in a lifetime catch from a pier.
Dreaming the dream that one day I can be as good as some of the boatless pros and catch some 12 inch mangrove snapper.

Very nice fish. Cool to see. Not to beat a dead horse but look at all the "florida trolley's" in just one corner of the T.

Very nice catch.
The Judge asked the prostitute, "At what point did you realize you were raped?"
The prostitute replied (wiping away tears), "When the check bounced."

Nice Fish !!!
- AND not to beat a dead horse, but if you dont like Trolley rigs - stay off DFP - It will only infuriate you.
Try "swimmin" A ballyhoo on 25-30 mono from 20 feet up w 10 knott winds - lol
There's a reason they are used there so frequently - and why there are less frequently used in places like Anglins.
If it did not consistantly produce fish on this pier, they would likely fish in other ways...

I'm not trying to hate on the "Florida Trolley". Just being captain obvious. I know Deerfield all to well, and yes the method works good.

It's not a Florida Trolley. It's a Googanese Trolley.
Florida uses real trollies. They just do it in the more northern part of the state. They'd never be able to do it down here without tangles and arguing. Thank god.

Re: Deerfield Pier Fishing Reports 2010 "ONLY REPORTS"
The past two day have been very Epic to say the least at Deerfield. I must say it was DISCOVERY CHANNEL out there.
Both mornings as I'm walking up the pier there was pompano skipping and jumping out of the water. Not thinking I throw an X-Rap and catch Jack after Jack for the next 10-15 minutes until the sun came up. Nice Crevalles to say the least (for the 10lb rod) with most being from 4-10lbs.
The pompano were so thick. From the beginning of the surf to the T, all the 9-10 inchers. Only about a dozen or so keeper were caught per day. They were in HUGE schools just cruising the top.
To add to that, there was also a Bluefish Banaza this weekend. Caught some nice ones with my biggest being around 6lbs or so. Some guy on saturday caught a 12-15lb Bluefish that made everyones jaw drop.
Nice mix of Bonitas and Kings at the T with about 6 kings caught and about a dozen bonita in the past two days.
Ben

Re: Deerfield Pier Fishing Reports 2010 "ONLY REPORTS"
Came up from Miami to give the pier my first try. As previous post mentioned, the
"blues" ( 1lb to 3lb) were smoking hot. About 70 or more caught in the " T ", during the 4 hrs that I was there (12:30 am- 5:00 am). Most of them being caught on cut mullet or blues 'cannibalistic suckers".
I will be heading up to St. Lucie by the power plant for some "Pomp" action next week, will post when I get back.
P.S Hello to everyone, since this is my first time in the forum.
