obviously not. That pier doesn't have a heavy showing in here. Either that or no one wants to give away the catch.

All the LW locals are fishing Juno this time of year, that place is a ghost town right now.

Macks were on an poppin' yesterday 1/25/10

This morning 7-1 mostly a bore. I caught a undersized cobia on a live shrimp. Yes, I tossed it back.

My buddy got a nice hit on hoo. It went straight down the pier towards the beach.

He did the over under over under under over under over over thing for about 100' before it took him around a piling.

Fishing report: 2/8/10 8am-Noon

Very little bait. Cudas stacked under the pier.

Small sail swam by. Not interested in the hail of lures presented.

Bait dissappeared around 11.

I left at noon. No hits, no runs, no errors.

Caught by others: 1 small mack, 1 fat a$$ sheepshead

High note: Managed to transport gear to pier via motorcyle successfully :dude:

The locals were freelining runners off the end all morning....nothing, nada, zip

No cobia

There was a manatee. The surfers declared it a shark, which fired up the tourists.

Hit it again today. High wind conditions. Bait was thin.

Mananged to drown a few baits and feed a few birds.

Yes, there were blue runners!!!!!

No cobia. But a cobia hunter showed up. We talked a while. Cool guy.

They didn't care either way.

well... finsihed h.w, studying, and got to play some football with friends. so even though it was cold, the sun influenced me to take a :driving: down there.
report: NADA!!!!!
as soon as i got there these two guys were leaving with a cooler, asked them what they caught. they had a mess of bloody runners. Saw a few locals that wernt catching anything. but after about 5 mins, dad spots 2 brown fish that looked like cobia, but were very far away, i quickly threw some jigs at them, casted a sardine almost PERFECTLY in front of them but were not interested. so i tried getting a runner or two for stip bait, managed a decent size one. hoos were really scarce, so no point in waisting time for them. Tried the usuall crappie jig with a runner strip and a gotcha with once again no takers. freelined a sardine, no takers. threw some shrimp and some frozen fleas around the begiinning of the pier (wasnt in the mood to dig in the cold for live ones) and yet again no takers.

we need the REAL spring to come to get the hot action, im tired of this cold weather doing nothing but damage.

Monday 2/15/10 7am-12

President's Day - Fesitval of the Googans. I'm their king :king:

No balihoo. No cobia sightings. No sharks.

Managed to scarf up a blue runner and freeline it out...twice...and caught 2 Gannet. Or was it a booby? I like boobies :P

Sheepshead was he catch of the day. They've been out in force lately.

The abu 7000 was acting up, so I came home, rebuilt her, and finished the CT conversion. Ready to battle another day.

LWP 2/20/10 7am-10am

Clear and flat no wind. No bait, no hoos

We spent 3 hours trying to catch a runner as if something would hit it

I caught a cuda on a white bucktail....that was the one and only fish of the morning

strike that..... I saw a guy catch a runner freelining a shrimp under the pier......wow what a day
