Jan 2 Saw HUGE ballyhoo schools getting showered at lunchtime. Saw NOTHING skyrocket out after them ( prolly Bluefish...) gogs a plenty as well.....

30 or so Trolley rigs off the T produced nothing while I was there....the water was clear, but alive....gonna break open anyday now....

Wind and current both pushing to the S today....

Lots of ballyhoo and blues around 5. A guy hooked up into a monster fish, and it pulled the hook halfway down the pier. Looked to me like a ray, because there was NO headshakes...just a dead weight.

fished yesterday in the afternoon for a couple of hours. One king and one nice flounder. Flounder was caught near the reef on the north east side of the T on ballyhoo on the bottom. It was super slow. Gonna try the beach today for pompano

I was there as well
early morning produced macks, a couple of bonies were caught throughout the day and milllions of ballyhoo in the surf, at night bluefish in fire, but the kings have been slow lately

Fished today from 10-10. It was dead besides the bait (gogs, sandperch, ballys). Vibe was cool though, there wasn't a hundred people out there with a hundred trolleys. Shrimp showed up at night.

he got it on a mojjara chunck. there were like 3 shorts caught 2day. i got a bonnie, a mack and a bunch of bluefish. ian got a keeper cobe on chris's rod. when he hooked up, two other people did too but lost them and right after, a big ass school of cobes passed on the northeast corner just out of casting range.

other than that that it was extremely slow unless you wanted to fish for ballyhoo, cigar minnows and gogs. Although at night after 10 pm a bunch of sharks came in just circling the lights and pier some nurse and one really looked like a t-head. So we started dropping bluefish by them letting it sink and then chris pulled one nurse 150+ straight up on his jig tipped with bluefish lol
