Not only 400$ but you MUST have a video camera! Cell phone vids dont count.

Ohh my and a pollygraph to?

You must reed the rules... Just a wee bit out of touch with reality.

RELAX GUYS. The entry fee is not $400.00 that is a typo that needs to be fixed and we will announce the final rules soon. Video will be mandatory though only because there will be CASH prizes this year. Please wait until we start posting official rules here on boatlessfishing.com towards the end of April.
Sad to be sitting out this years Shorebound Shark Tourney due to work issues. Good luck to all that participate!!!

I don't think the vid thing will change.

When you add cash you add cheaters and a video is still not 100%.

lol Tommy. Which part?

If you add cash to a tournament it definately changes things. Money makes people do funny things.

Very true James thats why we have decided to make this years first place winner a cash prize payout of $20.00 PLUS $500.00 worth of split shot weights. We have Binion working double overtime to finish this by the end of the tourney. Hell of a prize!!!

as for Video requirements

There will be no time limit as to how long, but the video should show the shark coming in being landed or shallowed with the secret item and then released.

"we as in SBFG would prefer to see the sharks remain in the water"

Especially the larger ones but that is to each persons choice how they do there release.

If the shark was to wash back up the team could be penalized if negligents was there.

The video seems to be about 3 to 4 minutes in length on average, if you would like to send longer video in great and it will be used for promotional and other stuff for the Shark tourney.

What I am saying could change, but that is what it looks like for now.

These videos will help to show release a strong point that we want to make, because many people do not believe the sharks live.

The polygraph is only if we think cheating has occurred, unless the prize gets up around 10,000 dollars then yes the top winners will be polygraphed automatically

The new rules will be back up after the correction, really not much is different outside of more for entry and the video, oh larger sharks are worth more this year.

Any idea when the tourn may start? Have some guys that I have been fishing with that have been shark fishing the area for years and are ready to get in when I told them about the tourn. We were just curious about a start date.

ok just a quick question. If a team payed its entry and did not have access to a camcorder could we still participate just not be eligible for cash prizes? ummm just thought that my digital camera takes video........I think that would work right?
