Thanks Zeb!! I checked last years posts and it looked like they started showing up fairly consistantly around the end of March....so I know I'm a few weeks early, but just thought I'd check. Thanks Again!

i got there around 6pm with live shrimp and somewhat fresh ballyhoo.

dropped two bottom rods(casted out) and one working the pilings. Nada except for one nice run but i did not set the hook right. It seems i have been cursed not to catch anything on this pier for awhile now lol. All the more reason to head out more often and try to shake it off i guess.

When the storm came thru early in the day, the conditions got killed and fishing changed. Now it's glass flat clear.

My mom is visiting from WI. My kid and I took her out to the "T" last night about 5:30 thinking I'd set her up catching some grunts and get her home by 10:00 or so. At about 5:30 AM at 12hrs w/ 5 lines out rigged with ballyhoo, I flipped our 30th bluefish over the rail. Lots of average size, some down to the 18" range. But there were a couple sows like I hadn't seen lately, probably around 30" and fat.

Went 9am-12 on Saturday morning. Didn't see anyone catch anything except for some 1 bluefish, 1 jack, and some cudas. Some larger cudas under the pier provided some fun for about 30m and made-up for an otherwise uneventful day.

was out on the pier yesterday from 3:30-5:30 pm,, all I seen was 1 jack caught,, I hooked 1 jack out of that school but he spit my gotcha,,, it wasnt all bad I did get into a good conversation with a guy named Mark ,, good conversation is always good,,, thanks for being friendy ,, see you again

Same here. Although something inside of me wants to try that out for fun lol. I actually caught a bluefish in the keys with fried pork grinds once.

Will be heading out today however, post a report later on.

Hey, "X", you're right. I think we'll get to see some creative baiting in the near future, eh? Ya just gotta keep laughin' at all this. You reminded me of a time about a hundred years ago, when I was young and had hair, when we used to roll up bread balls and used a #10 wire hook with a bobber to catch mullet in the canal off Powerline Road. Are they still using oatmeal to chum up the hoo's?

Fished today all day got 7-8 cudas 2 on my secret bait for them that people make fun of me for using

and the rest on live shrimp down in the surf sightcasting them. All in all water is too clear to catch anything else so might as well make the best of it.

Went yesturday afternoon with my buddy fishing before the T. Didn't catch anything but we did have a couple swipes on top water freelining out. Saw at the T they where hooking up on bottom rigs with what seemed to be bluefish. Windy day.

thanks Rick, I followed your suggestion about getting a vacuum sealer, got a good deal at bass pro for 70$ with extra 60 bags, that thing works GREAT, made 6 bags of permit steaks on last weekend and they look so nice compared to regular ziplock bags !!!

Vacuum sealer is the only way to go for freezing fish
