thanks Rick, I followed your suggestion about getting a vacuum sealer, got a good deal at bass pro for 70$ with extra 60 bags, that thing works GREAT, made 6 bags of permit steaks on last weekend and they look so nice compared to regular ziplock bags !!!
Alright- I live by my sealer for sure- just had Pompano for lunch that is a few months old and it's fresh, your going to love it. Congratulations on a Great investment- sounds like you got a sweet deal too.

Some kind of nonsense, king and pompano? There are no fish besides Blue Runners every where else around ... are you surely beleive in your report stats?

Listen, I did not spend 50 bucks on tackle today to come back and lie about what was caught on the pier. Save your fishtales for your wife cause I fish wth mine. And was the kingfish a freakish size..yes.. Did I catch it..no.. The pompano were abundant inshore, you should call the pier and ask, everyone was really excited about it and I am sure they will tell you. Happy lines.
There "was" a King caught Monday and Pomps late. Today there were Bluefish, Macks, Pomps and some Jacks. Plenty of bait. And that was while i was there till noon'ish. Still biting now.
Been big baits around for a week plus, and small ones scattered around inside. There will be much more bait as they migrate north. Bait will be around for the most part till late October'ish. The crystal clear days can be tough at times. Mack fishing should start getting good as they come with all the food.
Fished Yesterday from 1130-1400h. Missed the morning action i heard lots of pomps and blues were caught. I wanted to throw my pomp jig but got intimidated by those 12' rods and calcuttas lined up on both sides never seen so many of them in a single day

I am not really intimidated by the rods, just the distance everyone is casting off the tee. Makes it seem like if you can not get your bait out that far, your in for a ruff day at the end. It seems that deeper water does produce the big game fish at times and if your not casting well into it, you may be screwed. Thanks for your post and honesty!!!

The 2 of us have 3 each. Everything else I am seeing are spinners on Fugly sticks everywhere. Whenever one of them gets nailed, I have no idea who to yell at to get their rod. Especially this evening. Pomps declared war.

I am finally going to have to give in and buy a surf rod with a jacked up spinning reel. You can only cast so far with a 7 to 8 foot rod and 3 ounces of lead. TO fish with a shock leader always seems lke to much work, so I have only owned one surf setup. I think I gave it away once to someone who wanted to tarpon fish off his boat the next morning and I never asked for it back. That 30 lbs or so Kingfish caught off the end of dania the other day has me hook line and sinker though..I need to catch a deal on a setup. for certain
I was out there Saturday night from 7:30pm-12pm trying to catch snappers at the T but NOTHING!! while i was there i saw a guy catch what he said was a bullfish but i didnt get a good look at it and a 10ft shark made a nice show/fight before some guy cut him off the line.
the pier was super packed. i managed to get a good spot at the back at the T but wth so many ppl out there its hard fishing in peace. Some fat guy kept getting mad that we got tangled up with each other 2 times. probablly cuz he didnt catch jack sh!t. so if your not down to hang out and hear a bunch of drunk guys talking sh!t lol then wait it out till the fishing gets better.
