just got back, saw some guy pull up a nice red snapper. pretty slow day for fishing, i only pulled up 1 keeper it was a jack. Ill be going back later so ill make another report sometime tonight

yep, the normal stuff where you cant see the bottom of the water for about the first 20 feet of the pier

K just got back, saw someone get slammed by a huge cuda and i pulled up a 3.5 ft nurse shark. other than that it was pretty dead

Tues 6-10p glass minnows thick in the surf pilchards were just beyond also thick some were pretty big even managed a gog. huge herring at the T all night. snook bustin in the surf till sunset none caught , one keeper lost just after dark on a pilchard under pier just before T when dude tried to handline it. Other than that nothin.
Weds am "the crossdresser" (named for his evening job on 441) caught under size snook on pilchard and keeper yellowtail in afternoon plenty bait again but not much goin on gonna try Fri night.

Went this evening to catch bait for the Keys this weekend, got about 10 lbs of pilchards right near the surf. Fished a few dead ones on the bottom just after dark, got one 18" bluefish and 2 big runs that cut me off, felt like nurse sharks.

No, I saw a sign near the front that said the largest reel allowed is a 4/0.

ive seen people do it before. your not supposed to shark fish on deerfield but we all know a certaint slovakian kid who cant seem to stop catching t heads out there

9p-4a fri nite bluefish bonanza on the T bangin the sardines and small pilchards, but bring the surf rod cause they are out deep. saw about 10 hit the deck every hour i was there, other than that lots of bait but no herring.

Bait solid in the surf.. Snook all over them.. Just have to work for them. Today, a few smalls, 1 keeper until 4 PM when I left.

aiming to hit dania up thursday, been gone for a week on vacation with the family, came home to computer crashed and hard drive fried, so im finally back up and running. hows the bait been? im looking to load up for a keys trip soon

as far as bait its been thick with pilchards but i would suggest anglins cause they got just as many plus nice gogs and hoos.

whats the activity been like in the surf? thinking of fishing 1/2 a mile south of dania, but im not sure if its like it was, cause i used to get small tarpon (very small, like under 2 foot) and snook with occasional cudas and stuff (just misc gamefish hittin the pods drifting) but its been a while since ive done it.

just got home from dania. got eatin off once and broken off once by snook. the bait was thick and the snook began actively feeding around 6. jacks were there too and a pain in the a$$. saw a nice mack caught in the surf on a pilchard. one snook was caught right before i left by a regular and was a half inch short. might be back tomorrow afternoon.

on another note, the meter maid is a real a$$ hole. right as my dad was about to pull out, he puled up behind us, stopped, and started checking for expired parking passes. i had to get out of the car and guide my dad out of the spot.

Just got back from Dania. Lost two Snook that were probably under slot anyways. But then I hooked into this monster Jack and 40 minutes later we got him up. I got him on a freelined pilchard and he took me to the fourth light and to the T and back 4 times. And yes, I know I'm holding it like a googan

He was around 35 pounds
