2-18-11 SEA LEGS

Have not been on my favorite boat in a while, so I hit the 8am. First drift, first bait I got into a decent porgy. I thought maybe a small king but my drag was tricking me. I didn't have it as tight as I usualy do. Not one cut off or king in sight. There were alot of vermies caught and released, as well as some groupers and your usuall squirrels and sand eels. A nice hogfish was caught as were a bunch of triggers. A regular on the stern got a big bonita and another guy got a 7# cero trolling back in. I ended up with 2 porgies and a trigger. I also put back a few vermillion snapper for April 1. My first porgy won the pool. Yea!!!! So maybe I will hit the 8 again tomorrow. Great to be back out on the Sea Legs and soak a few worms.
Here is the porgy.

I think squid on a chicken rig. Not 100% sure though.
