2-19-11 SEA LEGS

Post by GO4EM »

8am trip.
Mr King still has not shown his ugly teeth!
It was trigger fish day. a triggerfish won the pool (not mine). I ended up with 11 triggerfish, 3 porgies , 2 decent size grunts and 2 lane snappers. Can't complain, I will have some good eats for a while. The captain knew the kings were not around so he put us on some good eats. There were 4 five gallon buckets and 2 bigger ones filled with triggerfish, porgies, lane snappers, grunts and a few little almacos. Vermies were around again to throw back. (April 1rst we will slaughter them!) A few strawberries caught as were a coulple other reds. Here is a shot of a few buckets.....

I saw Ric up there for the afternoon trip. Wish I could of stayed and fished another trip with him but I had to get back. Hopefully Ric will catch a lonely king that got lost.

Nice job there GO4EM. You always do well on Sea Leggs. :toast:

Both. This weekend I used the boats. If I get some good baits I do save them for some boat trips.
Unless I am on the anchor trip, then I only use my own bait.

I'm headed out on the morning trip with a buddy. Haven't been out on a boat in a while but looks like I don't need any heavy tackle. What kind of rigs where ya using?

Sorry to hear that Ricky. Nothing worst losing a fish on the flip.
