Boynton Beach Offshore 9-15

Post by Cookinman »

Sorry no pics, but here goes -

Well, first drop of the day landed a solid keeper Yellowtail, then next 2 drops landed 3 # rainbow Runners, back to back qnd it looked like a good AM Was shaping up, Started to drop my speed jig when the bottom rod bends over double....was down 85 ' with a live sardine - popped off and before I ever got to see it, as I was reeling the jig outta the way before I could get to it.

I put the bait down for a while to work the jig -

Speed jig got rocked hard a few times....Bonito and Runners mostly....one I could not bring in...fought like a large AJ, but never saw him...just kept peelin and peeling drag.....ventually found a rock or something to pop me off on. See, it was my fault really, as I casted far out to clear the line and when he hit, there was enough line to allow him to gain the bottom, my mistake... :bang:

Lost Offshorereefishing mid AM, we were paddling back to re-drift when I stopped to hang withthe SEALEGS a bit and see what was under her...Bonito one after another and that Big Bruiser that was not seen.

I guess he kept on to he inlet :why:

Then I looked up and saw I passed the Ritz Carlton....DAMN long paddle back to the inlet against the current....

Came home, cleaned the YT for dinner and fired up the smoker to make Smoked fish dip of the rainbow runners.

Kings were skyrocketing early ad a few powerboats hooked up, but it seemed the king bite shut off notlong after sunup. I probed the water column with live bait and jigs and could not seem to locate em.....

Had a few :toast: with dinner then hit the Heaven and Hell show at the Bank Atlantic center with the wifey. Queesryche was great, have not skipped a beat and even covered a few Floyd tunes quite well - Great Musicians, the lot of em. Alice Cooper was as good as ever and had some SMOKIN musicians with him Seriously they stole the show and really really rocked. Black Sabbath was a 6 outta 10. Kinda dissapointing as I really liked em back inthe day - I am not the biggest Dio fan though, more of an Ozzy guy, but we sat club and the free food and beer made it better ....lol :drunk:

All in all a great day that started at 3:30 AM and ended closecto the same time the next AM....lol getting to old for that Shi*at..haha
