bad luck

Post by fixed80 »

well of course the ones that read the post of the tarpon all over the beach earlier. well i did end up going shark fishing after all. but... the tarpon were so incredibly bad that they were swimming in my line causing the braid to fray off. now it would be nice to catch a poony on my shark rods, :D but no... they just fray me off leaving the two boonies and a hundred yrds of line off beach for some shark to take it(man it must suck for them).

i dont think i can shark fish now with the tarpon in the area but maybe I'll switch tactics and target them instead. by the way i lost three (app)50yrd rigs. gonna tie ilne to line and gain more line back. sorry a$$ tarpon.

actually never mind what i said about the tarpon swimming in my line.
ive been thinking this over and over as to why this happened to me yesterday and now
im starting to wonder if it was sharks after all. im thinking that
maybe a dorsal fin from a larger shark hit the line and broke my line twice.
so this is a possibility right? or was it a tarpon like i first thought.
i mean most of the hits(from what i thought) were so fast it was like a boat took off with my line. so i have a hard time believing a poon would be swimming that fast
in the water or unless the fish was gettin chased down. but a shark.....
man i dont know. anyone have any though one this.

I have been cut off on the beaches a number of times with mono, and braid. I really feel that it could be a shark, cuda, mack, or anything with teeth? All part of fishing, but i would doubt it to be a poon just because your line is not that tight? just my.02
Fish like its the last cast you will ever make.

I doubt it was a tarpon too.
