I doubt it. Notice there are no other reports...that usually only happens when the bite is going off.rare wrote:A tab bit...lol

Re: Anglins Pier Fishing Reports 2011 "ONLY REPORTS"
There has been a bite, it has been late in the Morning and evening, More Blues than anything some nice size ones, I got my limit of 16 inch Pompano yesterday.
Did not fish today
But I did just stop by late bite again and I saw Bonita coming up on the Tee, a Monster Spanish Mack was Caught and went maybe 7 or 8 lbs, alos saw a Pompano that was 20 inches to the fork, these fish were caught after 1pm like I said late bite and Ballyhoo everywhere.
Looks good for the next 5 days from what I can see with the forecast.

Re: Anglins Pier Fishing Reports 2011 "ONLY REPORTS"
Don't get too excited guy's, Lot's of small jack's and juvie pomps. 10 to 1 jacks over pomps and 10 to 1 juvie pomps over keepers. A few decent blues came in today. And Rick / xpierat got not one but 2 short ling. Saw a couple of nice mac's all morning from 7 to 12. So overall lot's of small stuff came in and most went back. A nice pomp would come in and 8 googans would cram the spot, and a couple of juvie's would make a mess of that. Bottom rods were constantly being googan wrapped. The # of people out there today who have no clue how to cast with the wind cost the rest of us a lot of line. Granted the wind loops made it difficult, but there's gonna be a lot more cut lines in the future. Just saying
Nice Boat! Now get it outa my driveway!

Re: Anglins Pier Fishing Reports 2011 "ONLY REPORTS"
Well went out yesterday night with a bud that got back from the Navy to Anglins.... these trips are getting expensive!!!
Got to the pier at around 7:30 and stayed till 11 pm.
Wind was howling at around 30, way worse than sunday, and the bite was almost nonexistent.
Scott was there and shared some fresh mack strips for bait, and i also used fresh chunked jack and runner.
4 rods out the whole time and maybe 2 runs.
I'll be back out next week, this weekend going ot Naples pier
There was only 1 blue caught the whole time i was there, and it was on squid......

Re: Anglins Pier Fishing Reports 2011 "ONLY REPORTS"
Epic bite today everyone on the pier limited out on macks. My final count was over 60 mackeral 20 or so blues and 6 blacktips.Kept 10 of the larger macks everything else released. Bite started at 7 and is still going on as I type.
Dreaming the dream that one day I can be as good as some of the boatless pros and catch some 12 inch mangrove snapper.
