Took the Mother-in-law with me to Shands Pier last night, scored 2 limits, was nice to have someone pick up my shrimp and cull for me. FWC was out there in full force yesterday, checking everyone on the pier every 3 hours. I think alot of people without fishing lisences was worried, lol. Everyone I saw was sticking by the 5 gallon bucket per person rule. Shrimp was riding the outgoing tide, best time was 2 hours before and after hightide. It was actually slow at Shands, I hear its the slowest its been since the run started 2 months ago. Started out catching 5 a throw around 9pm then 10 a throw around 10pm, about 15 a throw at 11pm and 25 a throw around midnight till 1 AM. Left after catching 2 limits. The shrimp arent around till after sunset but you have to secure your spot early, there was a ton of people at the pier. The shrimp were mostly large brown and jumbo browns, and taste alot better and bigger then the whites I got at Palatka bridge two weeks ago.
