hi Goliath Grouper,
I don't get on the site everyday to check for questions... so anyone who has an immediate need for an answer, feel free to email me directly. My educated guess for the Long Key completion would be a month early so by the end of November... but don't quote me please!

Hi Monica, Goliath Grouper is a rank that the forum gives by how many post they make. PhishinPhantic was the one who ask the question. :D See you there on November 1.
The Judge asked the prostitute, "At what point did you realize you were raped?"
The prostitute replied (wiping away tears), "When the check bounced."

hi Bolo,
Oops, that's embarassing... I get it now! By the way, I won't be there Nov 1 but hopefully Josiah, one of our trail rangers will meet y'all there!

True so true!!! I was just curious about the size. Last time I was down there I caught 6 mutton @ 17 to 19" and acouples of Mangrove @ 15 to 17". Anything under 12" I throw back and catch him again next year. Hopefully, I will be down there this weekend and I will let my fellow fishing buddies what went down. :happyfisherman:

Dying for it to open back up again. Shouldn't be too long now. (Crosses fingers)

We're still telling people that while it may happen sooner, the contractor still has until the end of December. Our trail rangers saw the contractors on the bridge working today. We also have to wait for a final inspection. So I know it looks like it's done, it's really not!

I promise, I will come right to the forum and post the opening as soon as I hear!

Thank you Monica, For being here for us.
We are all sitting on the edge of our coleman chairs anxiously awaiting the GRAND Reopening Of LKB.

Hey how about having a reopening party on the bridge/pier Invite only? With us being invited!! :bounce:

That's a good idea... but now that puts me on the edge of my bike seat because I don't know when to plan it for! Hmmm, maybe it will be a delayed effect but definitely a good thing to start planning. We do have an annual event called the Long Key pedal/paddle. Maybe we can somehow combine it with a bridge re-opening and call it the pedal/paddle and fish!

hopefully soon, as I am running out of room in the marina's carcass freezer for all the tuna pieces and stuff I'm saving for "big " fish bait...I'm gonna have to start tossing some of it soon if I don't use it.

You're probably better off fishing Ch 2 or Ch 5 though, I think the construction workers fished and cleaned that place out over the last year.
