Does anyone know if anyone is catching any baitfish with the sabiki's? I went a little over a week ago and couldn't get anything but small coral fish, which I realeased.

Went to the pier last night at about 10:30 and stayed over night. not 1 fish over the rail. Got about 3 dozen pilchards and had them on bottom and replaced baits every 30 minutes but nothing. West wind and full moon i guess didnt work out for me.

The problem with writing about religion is that you run the risk of offending sincerely religious people, and then they come after you with machetes.

Re: Anglins Pier Fishing Reports 2011 "ONLY REPORTS"
Fished last night from 11:30PM to 3AM. Very slow, caught a barely legal mangrove
snapper and a ladyfish. The west wind probably killed the bite and the water was
crystal clear. Didn't see any snook or tarpon out there. There were some pilchards
for baits. While I was there, I saw a couple of grunts being caught.

Seriously, what lure did you caught the moonfish with? What's the best lure for them?crevalejack wrote:try catching moonfish that's what i did last week...got 3dozen of mooney !!!! yeheeeeeeeeeyyyyyy![]()

Try a #6 Moon Spoon with the internal glo-lite, but only after the sun goes down. It's a killer. Made by Phatchanz. Eclipse of the moon coming up, should be the perfect time.
Those other fish must be smart. We caught all the stupid ones!

Sabiki rig. i caught them on the sabiki a couple weeks ago trying to catch bait at dania. but once they hit that you should consider your sabiki done with, they swallow it.fisherdave wrote:Fished last night from 11:30PM to 3AM. Very slow, caught a barely legal mangrove

Dave, I've seen a couple of moon spoons around at Walmart although I'm not sure I recall the specific sizes.
