So what about the Baby Sail that was caught today, it was a cute little feller.

Glad to help keep our waters clean!!! Count on me on October 1st. For right now I'm getting a lot of practice getting my line wet. Lol. Mick hooked up with a 4' plus lemon shark that broke off after going under the pilings. Soon after that a few cigar minnows appeared and grovers couldn't resist. Caught three between first light and an hour after at Amos' spot. Bar jacks made a brief appearance and as soon as they appeared they were gone. Caught an eel that was wreaking havoc on my line as he coiled himself past the leader. Cut him off and returned him unharmed. That's it for now. Cya all next weekend!! :toast:

There was so much junk pulled up that when they loaded it on the cart the wheel broke. :) The amount of lead in the pile was worth a lot of money.
Well I got there just as they were finishing the clean up.Thanks to all involved for cleaning up the water.
When my son and I got there we spent a few minutes talking to some of the guys. After a few minutes Amos (a regular there not sure if he is on this site) hooks up with a nice yellow jack. So we run over to try to get some. The jacks were circling the pier every few minutes. Luckily I brought my old standby live shrimp because they mostly wanted the shrimp. We ended up with a couple of big ones and 6 nice medium ones. Lost 2 to spit hooks, one on the flip over the rail and one when I kept it in the water for my 5 year old son to catch a follower. He ended up catching and bringing up his but mine spit the hook as I was about to bring him up. Would have caught a lot more but the filefish, houndies, cow fish and other various reef fish were very very very aggressive going after the shrimp. Also got a few moonies and a couple of blue runners
Oh, got to meet tiredoldman and his family. Cant miss them. They are on electric scooters.

And we were glad to meet you and your son also. We really appreciated the tips you gave us and will be putting them into practice this coming Saturday. Then, may be we will have something to report. If you're there this Saturday, stop on over for some chips-n-dips. :happyfisherman:

I hate coming on here and giving a report with nothing to report but it is what is is I guess...

After stopping by Atlantic B&T for some live shrimp and 1/2 doz blue crabs I worked my way over to Anglins to try my luck. Was hoping a Permit would find one of my crabs but the only action, if you can call it that, was a couple of those tiny Dork Jacks on my other rod rigged with a chicken rig and baited with live shrimp. Didn't stay real long, lines wet around 5:30am, wrapped everything up around 8:30am or so.

Got a chance to pick Tommy's brain for a little bit so I learned a few tricks about saltwater fishing in general. Always a good time talking with him.

We have a number of divers that come to our shop that participate in these things and in fact one of my co-workers gets into these clean-ups as well. She would have been there helping if I hadn't talked her into covering for me so I could have last Saturday off.

Contact the dive club that is heading up the event but pretty much, as long as you have a C-card they don't care from who, as long as your certified. You need to supply all your own gear if you plan on diving. Can;t sat for sure but these things usually arrange for free fills if you participate.
