Was out this am from 6 to 8. Macs and blues. Elbow to elbow fishing. Didn't realize it was a holiday and everyone had to deal with the "visitors." Crossing your lines, invading your space, squeezing in where there's no room. I know I don't have any seniority out there, but if I put my rod down to get another rig, why would someone just jump in my spot? A little ridiculous. It was good fishing next to Rick. He told me its like combat out there sometimes, you gotta fight for your spot. Anyway, still had a good time being on the water.

It wasnt that crowded out there compared to last week. Macs and jacks this morning. Left around 9 it got pretty slow.

A bouquet... 8)
8) That wedding topped it all off. This morning was lame. The report way up^^ there must have been from a different pier. Early on,...I saw a small handful of 2 to 3 lb Macks, and a bunch of very tiny ones. Toss in a couple tiny Bluefish, Runners and a few Jacks and that is about it. And of coarse Bonitas having breakfast at International House of Ballyhoo.

I got an xrap question. Are people having better luck with the XR-6 or the XR-8 Xraps for Mackeral? I lost all mine last week, but don't remember what size they were. I think they were the XR-6, but want to make sure before I order them online.

XR-6 bud, I bought a lot from this guy, he is legit! Keep in mind, it is 10 for 50 bucks, so 5 each... Usually 8.99+tax at wallymart so youre saving A LOT! 5.50 a lure shipped or so, I bought one lot, good enough for the next couple seasons lol!

All week the 8s have been producing more and bigger fish. With the winds and mullet coming through the larger mackeral have been keying in on the larger size that and the extra weigh is easier to cast. The 6s have not been producing once the smaller fish moved out and the bigger moved in. I always bring a few of each size to see how the fish key in on them.

As far as I have seen they are the larger ones. From there they have a smaller version which as you say is impossible to cast with wind, and then the magnum, which are trolling lures... This is at wallymart so bear with me, I am headed to BPS monday to stock up on my soft plastics and hoping to score a set of the browning needle nose that they had for 29 bucks till the 14th! Wish me luck lol! Also Rob, tyvm for the report!

The Evil Empire seems to carry every size and most colors. They have the fresh water and salt water variety

Looking at the boxes now...

SXR-10 are 4.0 inches long and weigh 7/16oz

SXR-8 are 3-1/8 inches long and weigh 1/4oz

I don't have any of the SXR-6's
