Headed out for two hours. Started walking towards the second hut and saw people flipping over blues. First cast somehow a shark decided he wanted my only gotcha that I brought with me. Blues and macs were on and off. Some big jacks caught on the end with runners.

I was there from 230-6 wearing green long sleeves. It would have been nice to meet a fellow member. It got pretty windy after sunset but caught some lady fish, macs and blue runners.
Fished from noon til 2pm. The bite is still pretty sporadic. Big schools of bluefish and I saw a nice 8lb mac come over. As I was leaving a guy caught a keeper pomp caught on live shrimp.
Probably going to fish tomorrow in the am for a few hours.
Fished this mornining. As soon as i got to the first hut macs and blues non stop! Couldnt believe it but out of all of the blues and macs i had a runner on. Got it close to the pier and a big aj(20lb+) came up and smashed it. Never thought they would come in that close to the beach. Ended up with 7 macs 5 bluefish.
out today from 9-3.. looking for macks and blues but they must have been chillin else where.. lots and lots of blue runners and in the pm there were some banded rudder fish caught ... i got mine using a gotcha..other than that i saw some spade fish ..spot.. ooohhh.. and one super nice mack was caught... at the end of the pier...
Jezratty you might have got there to late. I fished from tuesday up until saturday. The bite is really good as the sunrises and dies down after about an hour. Did you see any macs north or south of the pier?
yeah i was tryin to get out earlier but the guys i spoke to that were there since 6 said the macks and blues were nowhere to be found ... did see one school in the pm and only 1 was caught..nice fish though... anyone ever target atlantic spade fish? saw a bunch swimming around.. they weren't interested in anything i offered.. maybe i will bring some crabs next time
went and fished lw yesterday as the sun was going down. I was shocked to see all the construction and changes they are making. does anyone know if its still metered parking if your fishing? I couldnt really tell with all the construction fencing and gates they put up. as for fishing not much going on from what i saw.
linh wrote:Yeah it is but you can get a parking permit still for $3. $4 dollars for only 2 hours if you want to pay the meter.
where do i get that permit at?
It's cheaper to get a parking decal if your a lake worth resident. You get the permit at the pier gate where you pay to fish. $3 a day parking at the lower section.
Fished saturday 0600-800. Few blu runners that's it
